At the Rabbecca Onassis Foundation & Orphanage, our work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: Honoring God and Serving Humanity.
Today, we’re humbled to announce a milestone in our mission the clearing of new land in Lusambo, Kawambwa a sacred step toward expanding our impact and creating a permanent center for orphans and vulnerable children.
As we clear this soil, we’re not just making space for buildings—we’re planting the seeds for a future full of hope. This land will serve as the foundation for a new, fully equipped center designed to nurture, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders in Zambia.
Why This Expansion Matters
Kawambwa remains one of the most underserved districts in Zambia. With limited access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunity, many children are left without a safety net. This new center will help fill that gap with compassion, purpose, and sustainability.
The planned center will include:
Dormitories for orphaned and displaced children
A primary school rooted in faith and academic excellence
Health services for children and surrounding communities
A skills training hub for youth and women in the region
Farming and sustainability programs to teach self-reliance
A Testament to Faith and Global Partnership
This land-clearing initiative is only possible through the prayers, generosity, and partnerships of donors from Zambia and the United States who share our vision.
